Real estate & construction

Good renovation work begins by understanding what a building can become.

PROJECT HISTORY

Renovating an existing home.

One of my early major projects was a complete renovation of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home. The work included insulation, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, concrete, and a second-story addition—an education in how individual trades must work together.

ADAPTIVE REUSE

Make each space work harder.

I used the property for multiple purposes as needs changed, including a period when one room served as a personal laboratory. After relocating, I converted the space into a furnished rental. The project taught me to think about buildings as evolving systems rather than fixed arrangements.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Long-term, place-based thinking.

I am interested in renovation and development that improve how people live: useful spaces, durable details, thoughtful layouts, and practical maintenance. I also follow modular and additive construction technologies for the opportunities they may offer.

PROJECT DOCUMENTATION

The original website includes construction photos. These should be brought into the rebuilt site after exporting and reviewing the original media library, with captions that explain the before-and-after changes.
